I have a show tonight and Sunday. Also, here’s a funny video…

I’m doing stand-up before the sketch comedy of Just The Tip. The show is tonight at 8pm at the Cornservatory, 4210 N Lincoln Ave, Chicago, IL.

I know. Short notice. I suck at promoting myself, and being on time. How’s your Sunday looking? Good. Then you should go to The Town Hall Pub (3340 N. Halsted) to stare at me indifferently as I dick around at Entertaining Julia at 9:30. It’s a free variety show, and everyone who shows up is the coolest person in town. That’s a scientific fact!

Aaaaand here’s that funny video I promised. I’m not in it because it’s not always about me guys. At least today it isn’t.

Shameless Self Promo

On Thursday, I was on RyeBread Radio. I had a great time, the results of which can be heard here.

Tonight, I’ll be doing comedy at Blatantly Blasphemous Stand Up. It’s at The Bar 10 Doors by UIC at 9pm. The free show will have myself, Charlie Lind, Eliot Rahal, Lauren Vino, and Bill Cruz. That’s a super funny line-up.

Wednesday from 6-9pm on the ETC stage, I’ll be performing as part of Love Lift Them Up Where They Belong. It’s $25 because the money goes to help one of The Second City Training Center’s instructors, Judy Fabjance, pay for her breast cancer medical expenses and to finish her breast reconstruction. Also performing will be: Andy Eninger, The Tim and Micah Project, John Cates, Gellman and O’Malley, The Playboys (Susan Messing, Rachael Mason, Kate Duffy), GayCo, Schadenfreude, Dan Telfer, and the cast of the ETC.

I Comedied

Level upHrm…I wanted the title to be the non-existent past tense verb form of “comedy”. Instead, it looks like I’m trying to combine the words comedy and died.

I’m keeping it because I did both last night. I performed as Chucklefck’s contribution to the Ingenuity Festival in Cleveland. The performance was a contest of sorts. The best performer out of the group of three comedians at each show would perform in a “best of fest” show on Hilarities on Wednesday.

I did awesome at my performance. It was a set quite similar to this one. However, I was not deemed “best” and comedied from the competition. Which I am totally okay with because 1) I have another awesome show on Wednesday on the ETC stage and 2) I lost to a pair of very funny twins named The Lucas Brothers from NYC:

Twin comedians The Lucas Brothers from Brooklyn are hilarious

Look at those guys! They could of just stood there for 10 minutes, and I would have deemed them best of fest. Fun fact: they actually don’t intentionally try to dress similar, the twin telepathy makes them do it.  I gladly cede best of fest to these dudes. They were great.

Tonight, I’m going to my 15 year high school reunion in Avon Lake. It’ll be fun. Hopefully, I’ll get some jokes out of it before I bail to head over to see more comedy at the Ingenuity Festival. At the very least, going to my reunion will give me a good measure of how wealthy I could have been had I decided to tamp down my dreams and supplant them with THE AMERICAN DREAM™. I’ll be sure to let you know how many houses, cars, babies, and dogs they’ve amassed.

Capitalism works for me!

Cleveland, OH

I’ll be doing stand-up comedy as part of the Ingenuity Festival in Cleveland, OH this weekend. I’ll be appearing on Friday at 11pm. There will be a twitter feed while I perform so you can passively heckle @thebryanchamp while I’m up there. But I would prefer it if you just sent tweeted good vibes and boob pics.

This is going to be a fun festival. It takes place under the Detroit-Superior Bridge. Yes, I’m doing comedy under a bridge. I’ve finally self actualized myself into a troll. Come see it for yourself.

Everyone’s Gotta Have a Website

I wish I didn’t have to have a website. It means learning to do web stuff, and then doing that stuff poorly. I’d pay someone to do it, but that costs money. Earning money is something else I do poorly.

I’ll be slowly crafting this page into a glorious outpost of me. Exciting. Not really. But (I hope) it’ll get me writing more. I’ve ignored my blogspot blog for quite a while.

Also, a website is some arbitrary indication of professionalism. I am a professional. I’ve been a professional for a while, but now the whole wide world of webs can get up on my professionalism.

Professional tip: always have a photo on a blog entry. Mine is what I hope my site will one day become: a yellow, japanese fox dancing with a cabbage leaf on its head.

Gird your megabits for that boyos.
